Your guide to Pyramid Solitaire

Choose a round of Pyramid Solitaire and settle into its rules. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.

Build familiarity through play

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.

Understand the aim

Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Keep the controls in easy reach.

Follow these playing steps

  1. Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

The controls to know

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Check any mode label before starting.

See how the rules apply

An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Choose a deliberate next step.

One detail worth checking

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
